Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party Invitations

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

Most of us can remember the childhood book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and being a parent reading it to your own child just brings back those fond memories of your own youth. Parent or not though, I think pretty much anyone can appreciate the sweetness of this colorfully creative party we found at Kara’s Party Ideas. Creating the invitation was a “hole” lot of fun too….(pun intended!) What a terrific excuse to incorporate fruit on the dessert table, as opposed to all of the other sweet foods mentioned in the book. This party was absolutely amazing as they not only incorporated so many of the sweet desserts, but they also recreated the story using the food and book-inspired tags that narrated each day of the week according to the book.

The great thing about this party is that it works for many different age groups and can actually be created on a tight budget with a lot of do it yourself ideas. Colorful fruit could be used for the table display with DIY food labels that could easily be made by scanning the characters directly from the book. (Of course, we can’t do that with the invitations based on strict copyright issues.)

Friday, August 12th, 2011

I don’t know about you but we have been to plenty of bounce house birthday parties to know the kids absolutely LOVE them! Hence, why we created a bounce party themed invitation and its inspiration board. Decorating for this type of party just got a little easier as all you need are colorful circles to grasp the concept and theme of the party. Place colorful M&M’s in a bowl; use colorful gift bags for popcorn; rainbow gelatin on the dessert table or even colorful bubblegum balls in a simple mason jar for take home favors. The possibilities are endless just have fun!

Inspiration Board: Camping Baby Shower Invitations

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Parents-to-be with the love for the outdoors and adventure will LOVE these baby shower invitations as much as we enjoyed created them! You will have so much fun hosting a camp-themed party in your own backyard while incorporating all of the traditional camping treats and activities with nature-inspired decorations. The Smores Cupcakes have to be one of my favorites and one that I just have to try. I love the idea of using marshmallow fluff as frosting: smear it on your cupcakes, stick them under the broiler and watch as they puff and crisp just like a marshmallow over a fire. Magic! All you need is a little party inspiration and get ready for an adventure!

I just love the fun illustration, the clean simplicity and pop of color on these photo birth announcements. The overall fresh design remains stylish while adding a unique modern flair. Keep in mind all colors can be modified without being considered a custom. We all have our own style and personality so let us know how we can help!
